Baseball Recap: Centauri Comes Up Short

Centauri lost to Alamosa on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Falcons lost 15-5 to the Mean Moose. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leland Chacon and Ryder Norton did some serious damage despite the final result: Chacon went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base, while Norton went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Chacon has become a key player for Centauri: the team is 7-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-8 otherwise.

Centauri's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Alamosa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centauri will take on Trinidad at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alamosa, they will square off against Florence at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
