Basketball Recap: South Pointe Skates Past Rock Hill with Ease

While South Pointe didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 61-34 win over the Rock Hill Bearcats. That 27 point margin sets a new team best for the Stallions this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Pointe to victory, but perhaps none more so than Treven Raymon, who went 5 of 8 en route to 11 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Seth Tillman, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

South Pointe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2023.

The victory made it two in a row for South Pointe and bumps their season record up to 5-2. As for Rock Hill, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

South Pointe will take on Denmark-Olar in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Denmark-Olar's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Rock Hill, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-48 defeat against Clover on the 17th.
