Soccer Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for Marion after they claimed the first goal on Thursday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Richlands Blue Tornado by a score of 2-1. Marion were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Richlands earlier this season, when they won 5-0.

Marion now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Richlands, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 4-11.

Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Richlands, they will square off against Tazewell at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
