Softball Recap: Soledad Snags Seventh Win in Last Nine Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Soledad walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 17-9 margin over the Santa Clara Bruins on Saturday. Considering the Aztecs have won ten games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Soledad has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Santa Clara, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.

Coming up, Soledad will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against South San Francisco at 4:30 p.m. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Aztecs surely won't give up without a fight. Santa Clara does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
