Football Game Preview: McKinney Lions vs. Rock Hill Blue Hawks + How To Watch

The McKinney Lions are taking a road trip to take on the Rock Hill Blue Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when McKinney faced off against Plano East on Friday. The Lions fell 20-13 to the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Rock Hill was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 21-16 to Plano.

McKinney will need to focus on slowing down Nate Vincent, one of several Rock Hill players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 153 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 57 yards.

Even if they lost, Rock Hill's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Arthur Nersesyan refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Rock Hill got some further help from Max Wrobel: he picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles.

McKinney's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Rock Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

McKinney came up short against Rock Hill in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 21-14. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
