Basketball Recap: St. Joseph's Catholic's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

St. Joseph's Catholic entered their matchup against Christ Church Episcopal on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The St. Joseph's Catholic Knights took a 48-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christ Church Episcopal Cavaliers. The Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Leading Christ Church Episcopal to victory were Jonathan Perry and Adam Brown. Perry posted 15 points and six rebounds, while Brown put up ten points.

St. Joseph's Catholic's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-4. As for Christ Church Episcopal, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph's Catholic will host Powdersville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Powdersville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for Christ Church Episcopal, they will take on Palmetto at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Christ Church Episcopal is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.7 points per game this season.
