Jefferson skates past Lone Peak with ease

The Jefferson Panthers waltzed into their contest on Thursday with ten straight wins but they left with 11. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lone Peak 68-22 at home. Jefferson has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

Jefferson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cameron Toney out in front who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Toney has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Ryian Eveland was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Jefferson's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. As for Lone Peak, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.

Jefferson will head out on the road to take on Manhattan at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Montana (Manhattan is ranked 33rd, while Jefferson is ranked 12th). As for Lone Peak, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ennis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
