Corsicana's game on Wednesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Crandall Pirates, sneaking past 1-0. Give the Tigers' defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Corsicana was without their leading scorer, Kiana Lopez-Wilson, in Wednesday's match. With Lopez-Wilson sidelined, Corsicana had to make some changes to the lineup. And. The pair took full advantage of the opportunity: Mya Jasso scored a goal, while she put up one assist.

Corsicana's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four games. As for Crandall, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Corsicana will head out to take on Terrell at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Corsicana has yet to allow a single goal through six contests this season, a streak Terrell will look to end. As for Crandall, they will venture away from home to challenge Ennis at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Crandall's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
