Basketball Recap: Rockwell Takes a Loss

Rockwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. 2025 welcomed they with a 40-18 loss courtesy of the Escalante Moquis. The Marshals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Moquis apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Escalante to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amre Jenkins, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylie Carlisle, who put up nine points.

Rockwell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Escalante, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Rockwell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-53 loss against Milford on the 4th. As for Escalante, they will take on Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
