Volleyball Recap: Carl Junction Bulldogs vs. Marshfield Bluejays        
        
		
             If Carl Junction was feeling good  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of Central last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Carl Junction Bulldogs fell just short of the Marshfield Bluejays by a score of  3-2 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the  3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  two weeks ago.
 In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Carl Junction sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-14, 22-25, 25-20, 22-25,  15-12.
  Karissa Chase paced Carl Junction's offense, picking up 15 kills. Chase got some help from 
 Jadyn Howard and her 33 assists. Howard also made an impact serving:  she shared the team lead in aces with 
 Maddy Huffman, racking up two apiece.
 With the  loss, Carl Junction broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 24-7. As for Marshfield, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 31-5-1 record  this season.
 Carl Junction does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Marshfield has already played their next contest,  a  3-1  defeat against Webb City on the 26th.
