Basketball Game Preview: Oregon-Davis Bobcats vs. River Forest Ingots

The Oregon-Davis Bobcats will venture away from home to challenge the River Forest Ingots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oregon-Davis has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with five straight defeats, while River Forest will come in with three straight wins.

Oregon-Davis is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Rochester on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Oregon-Davis had to suffer through a 70-26 loss at the hands of Rochester. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 457th in Indiana, while the Zebras are ranked 152nd in Indiana).

Meanwhile, River Forest beat Kouts 64-55 on Tuesday.

River Forest's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Oregon-Davis, their loss dropped their record down to 2-19.

Oregon-Davis came up short against River Forest in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 60-50. Can Oregon-Davis avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
