Recap: Westview vs. Grand Island Islanders
A well-balanced attack led Westview over the Grand Island Islanders in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Westview blew Grand Island out of the water with a 77-43 final score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Westview had established a 28 point advantage.
It was another big night for Tayvin Murphy, who scored 21 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Trey Griggs, who scored 13 points.
Despite the loss, Grand Island still got an impressive performance from Evan McDonald, who scored seven points.
Westview has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Lincoln High is coming into the match with three straight victories on the road, so Grand Island is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
