Soccer Game Preview: Kennedy vs. McClatchy

Kennedy is 0-9-1 against McClatchy since January of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Kennedy take on the McClatchy at 3:00 p.m. Both are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

McClatchy better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Kennedy really get things going. Kennedy never let Cordova onto the board and left with a 4-0 win on Thursday. The Cougars' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Meanwhile, McClatchy waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 5-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won four matches by three goals or more so far this season.

McClatchy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those eight games. As for Kennedy, their win bumped their record up to 8-3-1.
