Volleyball Recap: Woods Cross Wins Going Away Against Roy

Woods Cross won the last time they faced Roy and things went their way on Thursday too. Woods Cross put the hurt on Roy with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

The win didn't come easy: Roy scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-18.

RJ Violette paced Woods Cross' offense, picking up eight kills. Violette got some help from Clayton Schmitt and his 23 assists. Lincoln Preston controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The victory got Woods Cross back to even at 7-7. As for Roy, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-6.

Woods Cross and Roy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time Woods Cross sees the court they'll take on Northridge at 6:30 p.m. on April 8. As for Roy, their break will end when they face Viewmont at 6:30 p.m. on April 8.
