The Edgerton Bulldogs will face off against the Edon Bombers at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs  on Friday. Edgerton fell just short of Swanton by a score of  7-5.
Edgerton got a good showing from  Parker Elden, who   pitched three innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits. What's more,  Elden gave up only one  walk, the fewest he's  had since back in March.
 On the hitting side,  Cory Herman was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI. That  triple was  his first of the season.  Noah Weaver was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with one  run.
Meanwhile,  after soaring to 12  runs the game before, Edon was a bit more limited  in their  contest  on Friday. They lost  12-2 to Wauseon. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat the Bombers have suffered  since April 26, 2024.
 Edon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Zayne Oberlin, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
 Edgerton's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Edon, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
 Everything went Edgerton's way against Edon in their previous meeting  back in May of 2023, as Edgerton made off with  a  12-5 victory. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success,  or do  the Bombers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
