Reavis had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Taft on Saturday. Reavis' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Taft, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-15 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reavis will venture away from home to face off against Argo at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Taft, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wheaton Academy at 4:30 p.m. on the 20th.
