Baseball Recap: Badger/Greenbush-Middle River Comes Up Short

Badger/Greenbush-Middle River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fosston Greyhounds. The Gators were not able to make up for their defeat to the Greyhounds from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Walter Taus was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Nathan Gust was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Badger/Greenbush-Middle River's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Fosston, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Badger/Greenbush-Middle River will challenge Warroad at 4:30 a.m. on Thursday. Fosston has already played their next contest (against Ada-Borup), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
