Preview: Shaw vs. Carver
Shaw is 5-0 against Carver since April of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Shaw Raiders will be playing at home against the Carver Tigers at 8:00 p.m.
For the first time this season, Shaw was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Calvary Christian could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.
Kelvin Reyes was the only thing that stood between Shaw and a shutout considering he scored both of Shaw's goals. With that big game, he's now up to six goals this season.
Meanwhile, Carver was the victim of a rough 11-1 loss at the hands of Central on Thursday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Carver was already down 6-1.
With that draw, Shaw's record moves to 1-0-1. As for Carver, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Everything went Shaw's way against Carver when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as Shaw made off with a 10-2 win. Does Shaw have another victory up their sleeve, or will Carver turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
