Bishop Canevin let Kellen Andruscik and Nate Astor run wild. Andruscik scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Astor went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Brady Wagner, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Bishop Canevin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .658. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .516 or higher in four consecutive games.
Bishop Canevin's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Eden Christian Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
Bishop Canevin's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Eden Christian Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.4 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Bishop Canevin, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.2 strikeouts.
