Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wakefield Country Day). They took down the Front Royal HomeSchool Flames 66-47 on Thursday. For the Owls, this counts as revenge for the 60-30 win the Flames walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2015.

Leading Wakefield Country Day to victory were Alfredo Martinez and Jacob Didomenico. Martinez dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds, while Didomenico went 8 of 18 on his way to 22 points and three steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Martinez has scored at least a third of Wakefield Country Day's points. Zachary Martz also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Wakefield Country Day has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Front Royal HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Wakefield Country Day and Front Royal HomeSchool will both be playing Mountain View Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Wakefield Country Day will host Mountain View Christian Academy at 5:45 p.m. on Monday, while Front Royal HomeSchool will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th.
