Basketball Recap: Purdue Broad Ripple Takes a Loss

Purdue Broad Ripple played a tough game on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Indianapolis Scecina Memorial Crusaders and fell 67-32. The Lynx were down 47-25 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Purdue Broad Ripple's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Car'Reonna Jackson, who posted 17 points, and Nadia Harris, who earned 13 points.

Leading Indianapolis Scecina Memorial to victory were Shea McNulty and Mia Miller. McNulty went 8-for-15 en route to 18 points in addition to eight assists and seven steals, while Miller dropped a double-double with 12 points and 20 rebounds. That's the most assists McNulty has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Claire Miller, who scored 16 points.

Purdue Broad Ripple dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Indianapolis Scecina Memorial, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Purdue Broad Ripple will square off against Irvington Preparatory Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Lynx their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Indianapolis Scecina Memorial, they will take on Herron at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
