Texas School for the Deaf had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Bastrop Bears.

Melanie Rubinshteyn paced Texas School for the Deaf's offense, picking up eight kills. Rubinshteyn got some help from Kaelyn Sluyter-Coffey and her 24 assists. Kimora Vollmar controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Texas School for the Deaf's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Bastrop, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Texas School for the Deaf has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Cedar Creek on the 16th. As for Bastrop, they will host Pflugerville Connally at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
