Preview: Northville Mustangs vs. Howell Highlanders
Northville has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Howell Highlanders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northville has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.
Last Friday, Northville was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to Plymouth. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Northville came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Plymouth is ranked 352nd).
Meanwhile, Howell earned a 58-48 victory over Salem on Friday.
Northville's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Howell, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Northville beat Howell 61-50 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Will Northville repeat their success, or does Howell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
