Basketball Recap: Althoff Catholic Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Althoff Catholic walked away with it. They came out on top against the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes by a score of 48-37 on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for the Crusaders, who have now won five matches in a row.

Dierre Hill Jr was his usual excellent self, shooting 58% from the field to rack up 21 points and five boards. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Smith, who posted four points and four steals.

Althoff Catholic's win bumped their record up to 30-5. As for Teutopolis, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 24-11 record.

Looking ahead, Althoff Catholic will face off against Christ the King at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Christ the King will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Althoff Catholic surely won't give up without a fight. Teutopolis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
