Recap: Lawrence Cardinals vs. Pemberton Hornets
The Lawrence Cardinals can finally bid farewell to their 18-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Pemberton by a score of 19-7. The win was just what Lawrence needed coming off of a 34-0 loss in their prior matchup.
Pemberton's loss came despite strong showings from Riley Stidham and Gabe Baker. Stidham gained 82 total yards and a touchdown, while Baker rushed for 51 yards on only seven carries.
Lawrence's victory bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Pemberton, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-10.
Lawrence does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pemberton also has no future games currently scheduled.
