Basketball Recap: Snake River Panthers vs. Blackfoot Broncos
Snake River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a blow against the Blackfoot Broncos, falling 57-27. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-22 back in November.
Leading Blackfoot to victory were Addison Tanner and Cambrie Waterhouse. Tanner went 6 of 12 on her way to 15 points, while Waterhouse went 6 for 7 en route to 12 points and five rebounds. Lauren Christiansen was another key player, putting up four points and five assists.
Snake River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Blackfoot, they moved to 8-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
Snake River will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kimberly at 7:30 p.m. on January 11, 2025. As for Blackfoot, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-51 win against Hillcrest on the 21st.
