Softball Recap: Clinton Central Bulldogs vs. Carroll Cougars

In what's become a running theme this season, Clinton Central gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They blew past the Carroll Cougars 11-2. Winning may never get old, but Clinton Central sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Landree Whiteman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Whiteman has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Whiteman was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Kortney Surber was incredible, scoring four runs while going 3-for-4. Carly Davison was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
