Basketball Recap: Westfield Snags 14th Victory in Last 18 Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Westfield had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Noblesville Millers by a score of 61-52. This was a revenge game for the Shamrocks: when they faced off against the Millers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 53-51 loss.

Despite the loss, Noblesville still got an impressive performance from Meredith Tippner, who went 13 of 30 to rack up 33 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That was a full 63.5% of Noblesville's points, marking the 14th time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of C.C. Quigley, who had 11 points and seven boards.

Westfield has been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 18 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Noblesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-5.

Coming up, Westfield and Hamilton Southeastern will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Hamilton Southeastern will roll in looking for their 25th straight victory, something Westfield surely won't give up without a fight. Noblesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
