Recap: South Garner Titans vs. North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights
On Monday, South Garner strolled past North Raleigh Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 62-46. The win made it back-to-back wins for South Garner.
South Garner's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tamia Darden led the charge by dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Darden has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. Taylor Moore was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.
South Garner has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.
South Garner will be playing in front of their home fans against Cleveland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Cleveland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 219th, while South Garner is ranked 62nd). As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Durham Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
