Football Recap: Deer Park Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Deer Park played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the West Valley Eagles and fell 48-3. The Stags were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-3.

Ian Olietti threw for 38 yards on four of eight attempts. On the ground, Evan Brinlee rushed for 88 yards.

Among those leading the charge was Eric Borg, who rushed for 75 yards on only five carries, and also picked up 65 receiving yards.

Deer Park has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for West Valley, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Deer Park will venture away from home to take on Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Stags will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.71 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for West Valley, they will host North Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolfpack will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
