Baseball Recap: Calloway County Takes a Loss

Calloway County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Marshall County, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lakers fell just short of the Marshals by a score of 5-3 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Lakers have suffered since March 28th.

Calloway County dropped their record down to 14-13 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 3.75 runs. As for Marshall County, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Calloway County nor Marshall County have any future games scheduled.
