Preview: Lodi Academy Titans vs. Humphreys Able Charter Legacy
The Lodi Academy Titans will head out on the road to square off against the Humphreys Able Charter Legacy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Humphreys Able Charter took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Lodi Academy, who comes in off a win.
Lodi Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Don Pedro at home to the tune of 73-11. That looming 73-11 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Lodi Academy yet this season.
Lodi Academy can attribute much of their success to Winston Dos Reis, who scored 18 points along with five assists, and Andrew Kanas, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds. Kanas continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jonah Pandjaitan, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 60 points the game before, Humphreys Able Charter were a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They were beaten by Ben Holt College Prep Academy 99-24. Humphreys Able Charter was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 61-15.
The win got Lodi Academy back to even at 5-5. As for Humphreys Able Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Lodi Academy came up short against Humphreys Able Charter when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 45-34. Can Lodi Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
