Thursday just wasn't the day for Christian Brothers Academy's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Peter's Prep on Thursday. The Colts' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Ranney fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Manalapan on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Braves by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Ranney has suffered since May 13, 2024.

Ricky Lopez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Parisi, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Christian Brothers Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Ranney, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.
