Volleyball Recap: Roswell Takes a Loss

Roswell lost against Gainesville back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hornets fell just short of the Red Elephants by a score of 3-2. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Roswell actually scored more points across those five sets (101-94), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 17-25, 12-25, 15-9.

Rumi Eichelberger paced Roswell's offense, picking up 11 kills. Eichelberger got some help from Grace Patterson and her 17 assists. Patterson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 12 aces.

Roswell's loss dropped their record down to 12-22. As for Gainesville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-12.

Roswell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gainesville, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Milton on the 8th.
