            Volleyball Recap: Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars vs. Western Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            If Pembroke Pines Charter was feeling good  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of Fort Lauderdale last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jaguars fell  3-1 to the Western Wildcats on Thursday. The Jaguars were not able to make up for their  loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting  back in March of 2021.
 Pembroke Pines Charter started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-18, 25-13,  25-18.

  Elier Gil and  Adrian Navarro certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss.  Gil  had 21  digs and two assists, while  Navarro  had 18  kills and 15  digs. Navarro is  on a roll when it comes to  kills, as he's  now  had eight or more in each of the last four games he's  played.
 Western found their leader in sophomore  Ian Bristol, who  had 20  digs.
Pembroke Pines Charter suffered their first home  defeat, dropping their record down to 9-4. As for Western, the  victory was  the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.
 Pembroke Pines Charter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  3-2  win against West Broward on the 4th. As for Western, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  3-0  victory against Coral Glades on the 8th.
