Recap: Christian Learning Center Mustangs vs. Center Place
The Christian Learning Center Mustangs put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 49-16 win over Center Place. Christian Learning Center has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Christian Learning Center's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rylie Allen, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Callie Trezona, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Center Place's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Isabelle Howen, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and two steals, and Rylie Kroesen who scored five points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Even though they lost, Center Place smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christian Learning Center only pulled down eight offensive rebounds.
Christian Learning Center's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0. As for Center Place, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Learning Center will challenge Heartland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Center Place, they will head out on the road to take on Applewood Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Applewood Christian's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so Center Place's offense will have their work cut out for them.
