Recap: Smithville Tigers vs. Taylor Ducks
The Smithville Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 15th straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 88-56 loss at the hands of Taylor. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Treos Richardson, who scored 21 points along with eight steals and six assists for Taylor. Richardson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Laurence, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Smithville's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Taylor, their win bumped their record up to 11-17.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Smithville will take on Caldwell at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Taylor, they will head out on the road to face off against Austin Achieve at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Taylor has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 229 points over their last three matches.
