Baseball Recap: Canton Takes a Loss

The Canton Warriors didn't have quite enough to beat the Simsbury Trojans on Monday and fell 5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by just one run.

Noah Asmar was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Canton and nudges their season record down to 2-6. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Simsbury, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Canton will venture away from home to face off against Avon at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Simsbury, they will square off against Lewis Mills at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
