 The Union City Indians and the Clinton Central Bulldogs squared off in some playoff action  on Saturday, but sadly the Union City Indians had to settle for second. They ended up on the wrong side of a  tough 42-18 walloping at the hands of the Bulldogs. Union City's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
  Oaklee Reichard was Union City's leading scorer, having posted nine points.  
 Audrey Black held things down on the boards with six rebounds. 
 Clinton Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Kortney Surber, who  scored 14 points along with six  rebounds and four  blocks. Surber is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight.  Sara Parkison was another key contributor,  almost  dropping  a double-double on ten points and nine  rebounds.
 Union City's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Clinton Central, the  victory was  the 20th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-1.
 Union City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Clinton Central will be staying on the road  on Saturday to face off against Marquette Catholic at 7:30  p.m.  on February 17th. Marquette Catholic is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55  points per game this season.
