Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stoneman Douglas). Their defense stepped up to hand the Fort Lauderdale Flying L an 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Their offense was hitting Fort Lauderdale from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Laina Engelbart led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Stoneman Douglas' win bumped their record up to 5-0-5. As for Fort Lauderdale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10-1 record this season.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Stoneman Douglas take on the Flanagan at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Flanagan will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Stoneman Douglas surely won't give up without a fight.
