Recap: Tradition Prep Pirates vs. Okeechobee Brahmans
The Tradition Prep Pirates suffered their biggest loss since December 21, 2023 on Thursday. They were the victim of a rough 53-29 defeat at the hands of Okeechobee. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tradition Prep has scored all season.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aydan Fields, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Drew Armstrong, who scored eight points.
Oliver Saunders was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds for Okeechobee. The team also got some help courtesy of John White iii, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Tradition Prep now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Okeechobee, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-7.
Tradition Prep will head out on the road to take on Jupiter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jupiter is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last ten games. As for Okeechobee, they will be playing at home against South Fork at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. South Fork presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Okeechobee in Florida (South Fork is ranked 58th, while Okeechobee is ranked 254th).
