Basketball Recap: Christian County's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak on the Road

It was a good run, but Christian County unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 73-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hopkins County Central Storm. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (59), the Colonels still had to take the loss.

Christian County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Anaysia Bagwell, who went 10 for 18 en route to 28 points, and Lazarie Daniel, who went 9 of 18 on her way to 22 points. The match was Bagwell's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Carliah Hobson was another key player, putting up four points and five boards.

Christian County's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9. As for Hopkins County Central, they pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Christian County will face off against Crittenden County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crittenden County will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Christian County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hopkins County Central, they will venture away from home to square off against McCracken County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
