Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Regional Panthers vs. Montour Spartans

The Franklin Regional Panthers will face off against the Montour Spartans on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Thursday, everything went Franklin Regional's way against Indiana as Franklin Regional made off with a 71-50 victory. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Little Indians: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Montour entered their tilt with Ringgold on Monday with 14 consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 15. They blew past the Rams, posting an 87-51 victory. The Spartans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Franklin Regional better keep an eye on Ama Tening Sow. He was instrumental in Montour's win, dropping a double-double with 23 points and 15 boards. Sow has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 24 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Straight, who went 7-for-11 en route to 19 points.

Montour was working as a unit and finished the game with 29 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Montour pushed their record up to 21-1 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.9 points over those games. As for Franklin Regional, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.
