Jack Steiner turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three walks surrendered on Tuesday. He turned in his biggest game of the season, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Canisius is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 4-6 otherwise.

Steiner's strong effort led Canisius over Bishop Timon-St. Jude and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Crusaders are a perfect 10-0 against the Tigers going back to May of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
