Basketball Game Preview: North Iowa Bison vs. Central Springs Panthers

North Iowa hasn't had much luck against Central Springs recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The North Iowa Bison will take on the Central Springs Panthers at 6:15 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

North Iowa is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They had to suffer through a 64-27 loss at the hands of North Union. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 280th, while the Warriors are ranked 98th).

Meanwhile, Central Springs suffered their closest loss since December 3, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Osage by a score of 37-34. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Central Springs' loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for North Iowa, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.

North Iowa ended up a good deal behind Central Springs in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, losing 44-30. Can North Iowa avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
