It's playoff time, and Orangefield had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Van Vleck Leopards on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Bobcats, who have now won four matches in a row.

Kale Spears tossed a big game, pitching 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Orangefield saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Worthy, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Orangefield pushed their record up to 25-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for Van Vleck, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-14.

As of now, neither Orangefield nor the Leopards have any future games scheduled.
