Softball Recap: Mendota Trojans vs. Kewanee Boilermakers
Mendota extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 2-6 in the process. They came up short against the Kewanee Boilermakers, falling 21-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 13-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Kewanee beat Mendota by a score of 9-4 later that day.
