Baseball Game Preview: Llano Yellowjackets vs. Blanco Panthers

Llano is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Monday. They will be playing at home against the Blanco Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Llano has given up an average of 9.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Llano might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-6 to Copperas Cove, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Will Morris stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he scored a run while going 1-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Lynch, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Blanco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-4 to Harper.

Blanco now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Llano, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Llano came out on top in a nail-biter against Blanco when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-0. Will Llano repeat their success, or does Blanco has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
