Basketball Game Preview: Allen Eagles vs. Princeton Panthers

The Allen Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Princeton Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Allen took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past McKinney, posting a 45-11 win. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Lions are ranked 795th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Princeton duked it out withMcKinney on Friday. Princeton took down McKinney 58-44. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Princeton has also been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Allen, their victory bumped their record up to 18-12.

Allen came up short against Princeton in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 58-47. Can Allen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
