While Pecatonica put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Highland. The Vikings walked away with a 4-0 win over the Cardinals. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Pecatonica has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs this season. As for Highland, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pecatonica will take on River Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Highland, they will square off against Seneca at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
